Learn to sail in Okinawa with the Aoki Yacht School!

          The Aoki Yacht School is an American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliated sailing school and a Japanese government authorized boat license school. Aoki Yacht School conducts the following courses in both Japanese and English throughout the year in Okinawa:

Japanese Government Boat License Course
ASA Safe Boating and Docking 118
ASA Basic Keelboat 101
ASA Basic Coastal Cruising 103
ASA Bareboat Chartering 104              
ASA Coastal Navigation 105              
ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising 106

          Beginners are invited to start learning to sail with the ASA Basic Keelboat 101 or the Basic Keelboat 101 / Basic Coastal Cruising 103 combined course. The combined course and follow on intermediate (Bareboat Chartering 104) and advanced (Advanced Coastal Cruising 106) courses are conducted as overnight sailing trips to the local islands- an unforgettable experience! The Aoki Yacht School also offers navigation (Coastal Navigation 105) and docking and safety (Safe Boating and Docking 118) courses to round out your boater education and experience. The Aoki Yacht School also has a vision for the future and is committed to preserving the environment. The Aoki Yacht School’s sailing programs are conducted in Okinawa aboard the electric powered sailing vessel, Intrepid. s/v Intrepid does not burn fossil fuels nor pollute our beautiful seas with oil. Crewmembers aboard Intrepid truly learn to sail and protect the environment at the same time.
